Waiting periods

Epona, the great, loyal steed of Link, the one who never fails to answer his call whenever he needs her, the forever truthful mare without whom Link you just be a little boy. In order to meet her master's needs, she never gets unsaddled, always sleeps on one hear to make sure she can hear the ocarina of the other, braves rain, wind and snow to rush to her duty. Poor Epona... I tried to depict her in the anxiousness of not knowing if Link will ever return - has he been killed, is he all right, why on Earth isn't he calling, has he replaced me yet ? Here she stands in the wind, strong yet sad, with her heavy saddle on and all this equipment which is supposed to look fancy...

Ok, sorry if I depressed you with that :s I honestly regret I can take Epona up the stairs to Cocorico village, or with me in the desert, or to fight Ganon on his horse like a man... so sad ! That's what inspired this pic.
